ESOPE asbl is a training centre for adults.
It was founded in 1993, following the initiative of several people who wanted to respond to the lack of training for low-skilled jobseekers in the Verviers region.

30 years later, it has several training courses to its credit,more than a hundred trainees a year and a team of highly qualified trainers, each with a wealth of professional experience.

Currently, Esope provides four training courses (based on specific frameworks, qualification profiles and the professional experience of trainers) within the framework of the Walloon Region’s approval.
The courses are of:
- Training, with didactic certifications, as a housekeeper and specialisation in hospital cleaning;
- Pre-training for caregivers and family assistants;
- In-company training as forklift operator;
- Training for the Certificat d’Etudes Secondaires Supérieures (CESS) with specialisation in ‘PC-Network Maintenance Assistant’.
ESOPE’s training courses provide orientation and the acquisition of specific skills for better integration into the world of work.
These courses are complemented by other one-off projects, including projects on citizenship. This happens by responding to ‘calls for projects’ from various funding bodies such as Forem, sector funds (FSHP), specific RW projects and EU projects such as Erasmus+.
Training related to these projects is divided into:
The training related to these projects is divided into:
- Refresher training for persons wishing to resume their nursing studies;
- Hospital logistics assistant training;
- Training on job search and digital tools;
- Childcare training modules.
- Erasmus+ project in the field of home care.
ESOPE is therefore a centre of training, but also and above all a place for meeting, exchange and support for the realisation of a professional project (occupational or qualifying training).
Esope’s experience in these areas can be found throughout the training course as well as in the field. It is based on the curriculum and the professional experience of the trainers to construct the course modules.
